Brand L. Elverston retired from Walmart corporate in 2017 after nearly 22 years serving in various leadership positions at the company’s headquarters. Since his retirement from corporate life, Brand founded and operates his own retail risk-mitigation technology consulting business with clients around the world. Prior to joining Walmart, Brand served on active duty as a U.S. Army Field Artillery officer for 12 years holding numerous key leadership positions including commanding two combat artillery units in Germany and closing out his active service serving as the senior officer instructor while assigned to the US Army Field Artillery School. In 2003, while working for Walmart, Brand was recalled to active duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, spending most that year in Afghanistan assigned to the Office of Military Cooperation – Afghanistan, in Kabul. Dr. Tam Hulusi is a veteran of the industry, whose expertise spans the areas of identity management, security, IoT and other emerging technologies. In addition to currently serving on the Boards of SafeTrust, Unikey Technologies and RemoteLock, Tam spent more than a decade at HID Global as its Senior Vice President of Strategic Innovation and during his career has held several industry roles including Vice President of Honeywell’s Access Control Systems, and CEO of Group4 Technology (now G4S). Throughout his career, Hulusi has had a significant impact in leading product innovation, business development, as well as leading growth technology companies. During his time at HID, Hulusi led the team that were incubators for the first mobile credential, trusted IoT tags and delivering trust based services online. Tam is also an inventor with nine patents. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Polymer Science, University of Essex, and M.Sc. in Quantum Mechanics from the University of Sussex. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s International Senior Management Program.

Angela Watson is a seasoned Sales Executive with an extensive history working with large multinational technology companies. She has more than 25 years experience with expertise in sales execution, business development, account management/retention and analytical solution design. She’s helped leading Retail and Consumer Goods companies re-engineer their sales and field execution processes to drive better customer outcomes, increase overall customer sentiment and drive revenue. She was most recently a Senior Sales Executive at Salesforce, where she consistently exceeded goals and helping customers understand the value of Intelligent Insights to drive more predictable outcomes. Angela is a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara, and lives in Santa Barbara.

George received numerous business awards over the years for his volunteer service in the electronic security and life safety industry, including a life-time achievement award. A published author of industry articles, keynote speaker, and moderator, George continues his entrepreneurial journey and his life-long quest to keep learning from exceptional businesses and people. Previously George De Marco began his entrepreneurial journey in 1981. Founder and CEO of Greater Alarm, George brought together a team of highly-motivated individuals that achieved nationwide recognition for growth, innovation and customer experience in the electronic security and life safety and custom electronics industry. After selling his company in 2004, George was asked to help kickstart the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in 2007, an industry conference, and continues to serve as its chairman. He was also appointed under two governors of California as a board member for the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

Walter has more than 30 years of experience in the payments industry and is currently Head of the Open Banking & Payments Practice for the Americas at EPAM. Previously at, Plastiq, a seven-year-old FinTech company providing cash management services to small, medium and large enterprises, where he lead Partnerships and Business Development. Prior to joining Plastiq, Walter held a similar role with Clover, a Fiserv Company. Before that, he served ten years in key management roles in business development for MasterCard Worldwide.
